Congratulations are due to Prof. Dane Brown who was selected as the recipient of the Vice-Chancellor's Distinguished Research Award for 2024. A medal, symbolising this wonderful achievement, was presented to Dane at a Graduation ceremony in April 2025.

This award is substantial acknowledgement from Dane's colleagues at the University and external reviewers of his research scholarship. This scholarship is further validated by his ranking as the 4th most productive researcher at Rhodes in terms of outputs during the 2023 academic year. 

Both of these are huge achievements, and the Department of Computer Science is fortunate to have such a prolific and dedicated researcher amongst its staff.
